As much as I hate to admit it, Mr. Cook's statement is well-reasoned. If he truly believes that the inspections were indeed ridding Iraq from weapons of mass destruction, then he did the only honorable thing he could do... resign. This is the kind of courage that I respect.

That said..... I think Mr. Cook is wrong in his assumption. And, I am not willing to risk an American city on the effectiveness of Mr. Blix and his band of blind mice. This war really boils down to one thing only..... Iraq sponsors and supports terrorists, actively. This will not be allowed to stand. The sooner the rest of the world comes to grip with this new reality, the better off we all will be.

So... flame away. I suspect Cook defenders are an open target. But, for me.... I admire his principled stand.
