Just don't watch the show. I guarantee you this year will have the WORST ratings, especially since they're not going to do the red carpet thing. What the heck is Joan Rivers gonna do?

Remeber, with as much as 71% of the nation in support of our troops, this is a huge blunder by the Academy. These people have been running their mouths about this for too long, and the combination of people being sick and tired of hearing about it and anger for their lack of support for their nation could result in a lot of people changing the channel.

While Hollywood nitwits bash the war effort out of naked hatred for Bush (and conservatism generally), they seem oblivious to the fact that it is THEY who engender the America-hatred above all else. When asked, people from other countries mostly blame Hollywood movies, pop music videos and Girls Gone Wild advertisements for their low opinion of the USA. Not Bush, Washington D.C., big corporations, Kyoto, CCI, our military, Gulf War One or McDonalds. Clueless wealthy snobs will bash Bush during their sad award ceremony. And miss the point entirely.

I am extremely selective about the films I see and music I listen to; if there is either an actor or musician(whose genre I like) who has either come out in support of the war, our troop and President, or hasn't said anything either way, then I patronize that film, buy the DVD or purchase the CD.
...As much as I enjoyed "Chicago" (prior to Richard Gere spouting off his nonsense) in the theater, I will not be purchasing the DVD, which is a shame since I did enjoy his performance, along with Renee Zellweger's, Catherine Zeta-Jones' and Queen Latifah's.
These people are making the lives of their corporate accountants miserable, with all of the red ink they're seeing from the loss of profits.
...I'll probably tune the Oscars out again this year; should have done that with the Grammys last month.

It would be nice if 10,000 people showed up for a support our troops rally right accross the street. What's good for the goose is good for the moose, uh, er gander.
