I like you pic of Canadian Paras, but I don't believe these are from the 1st SSF. These are wearing standard Canadian British-Pattern webgear while the 1st SSF used US Uniforms and webgear. Also these guys have a Bren gun and Enfields. 1st SSF used M-1s and Johnston Light Machineguns.

I've seen this pic several times in past with the caption that they are from the 1st Canadian Special Service Battalion, which later became part of the FSSF.

However, I do have two photos of the Canadians at Kiska wearing US gear (from the National Archives of Canada).
