I understand your anger and utter amazment at the lack of civility from the leftist, socialist, Tom Daschle. I am also amazed and angered beyond belief by his contemp of President Bush. Daschle is the greatest of all hypocrites for he never once said a word about Clinton and the bombings (without UN sanctions)he ordered. Daschle is only in office now because he and his liberal cronies fixed his last election.

I wonder if the good people of South Dakota are as embarrassed by Daschle as I have been by the likes of Barbara Boxer and Diane Feinstien. Neither have ever represented all the people of the great state of California. The liberal socialists that I speak of hate this country and are willing to do ANYTHING to tear it apart and would be nothing but thrilled to see President Bush fail. By their actions, Daschle, Boxer, and Feinstien HATE this country and it is my dream and hope to see all liberal socialists like them removed from their offices.

I hope more of us will take a stand. I hope the tide of Anti-Americanism will be turned back by us, the people who love the values and principals this country was founded on. These people who wish only harm to the United States of America must be removed from office somehow and someway.

How much more are 'We The People' willing to take? That is the question.

Your problem is with the people of SD, who disagree with conservatives down the line.

Why did they vote for GWB in 2000?

SD people depend on government subsidies to exist in a very tough land.

How did everyone survive life in SD before the 1960's?

Your two questions have no easy answers. Maybe SD people see Republicans as "strong on defense" and vote GOP for president but prefer Senate Democrats for "federal gravy" for an economically-challenged state.

SD has not voted Democrat for president since it went all the way with LBJ in 1964.

It has had two Democrat senators from 1973-79 and since 1997. It just seems like it has been under the grip of the Senate Democrats for so much longer because Daschle is such a high-profile figure.
