The picture of the untouched mosque provides a taste of the artistic beauty of Islamic architecture.

It is fashionable on FR to bash Arabic things, but some are quite beautiful and the fact they remain can only be appreciated by the Iraquis..

A U.S. soldier was detained Sunday on suspicion of throwing grenades into three tents at a 101st Airborne command center in Kuwait, killing one fellow serviceman and wounding 13, three of them seriously.

Smacking the image of Saddam's face with a shoe is probably a death penalty offense ... but this guy looked pretty happy to do it on camera.

Uh oh, this bomb is out of warranty. I guess that means they can't send it back for warranty repairs if it somehow, oh, I don't know, breaks into thousands of pieces suddenly.

A British Royal Marine from 42 Commando fires a Milan wire-guided missile at an Iraqi position on the Al Faw peninsula in southern Iraq on Friday.

U.S. Army 3rd Infantry Division soldiers secure a field near Najaf, Iraq, early Sunday. The U.S.-led forces were within 100 miles of Baghdad, but had encountered some areas of stiff resistance from Iraq troops.
