Special Force Operatives from CIA vidoetaped Saddam and his leaders entering the bunker.

Got positive ID from Langley that Saddam, his sons and most of the Military inner circle was there.

Stealth bombers dropped two 2,000 lb. bombs on the bunker chimney while special ops identified the target with lasers immediately to position 30 Tomahawk missiles on the complex.

No one could have survived the attack not even in a safe. Video was taken of Saddam with a gas mask over his face dug out of the complex. Everyone killed inside Saddams sons and all top generals.

Deputy Iraq Prime Minister Tarik Aziz holds emergency meeting the next day making frantic cell phone calls to remaining Saddam/Baath Party leaderhip officials. Minutes later they show up wanting to know what has happened.

Langley triangulates the desperate cell phone calls from Ambassador Aziz and sends 20 Cruise Missiles through the roof. Baath Party political Leadship terminated.

CIA is leaving electricity and telephone lines up for as long as there is surveillance advantage to be gained tapping their sources electronically.

Only two Iraqi top Military/Political officials known to have survived- Public Relations Spokesperson for the Defence Department and Minister of Defence Lt. General Sultan Hashem Ahmed.

The Iraqis have not dug out the rest of the bodies yet except for Saddams

For those who don't know them Batchelor and Alexander tend to be something of an Art Bell type. This could be true, but take their reporting with a grain of salt.

What is this Ahmed's problem? He knows that his army is crumbling before our advance. He needs to go on TV and declare Saddam dead and order all forces to stand down. Maybe he knows that he would be strung up if the Iraqi people get a hold of him.

Yet, it does appear that Iraq is leaderless.

Hussein would never have allowed executed POWs to be shown on television. That proves to me that he's dead.

Air THE TAPE. Jam it over the mid-east. Their hero is dead.

Can't do it. A huge civil war would break out in Baghdad, complicating our occupation efforts immensely. We need 100,000 soldiers in the city before we confirm Saddam's death.

I like reading all of the reports.

Saddam cannot die enough times for my satisfaction.

And let's send all of his POW-executing military down to hell to visit him.

What makes you so say? I'm not objecting - just curious. Remember, this is the guy who had his photo taken with a 5 year old British boy being used as a human shield in 1991.

Maybe Lt. General Ahmed is shopping for a better deal once he is encircled in Baghdad (exlie in West Africa?)

He already surrendered once to Stormin' Norman 10 years ago maybe there is a personal pride issue at stake here..

Agreed. Flushing Aziz out with the reports of his defection lined up all the ducks.

I love Tarik cell phoning the Iraqi parliament and Langley waiting until they arrive to blow the roof off the joint..

"Can you hear me now? " :::lol::::

I'm doing the "Saddam is dead" happy dance!!! This is the most thorough report on this I've seen yet, and for some reason rings true, to me at least.

What makes you so say?

Bad PR. Hussein's only hope was to make the world opinion so turn against the coalition that they would, somehow, be forced to back down.

Killing prisoners is not done in civilized countries.

Hussein was brutal, but not stupid.

Very true. Hussein is very adept at the propoganda game. Hussein's strategy all along was for a brokered peace via Paris. Showing tortured and executed POWs isn't exactly the way to go about winning the propoganda war. This seems like the kind of thing thought up by third rate underlings.

I'm skeptical as well, but Batchelor and Alexander are not Art Bell in any way shape or form. Ridiculous comparison.

Yeah, but Hussein was palying "Uncle Saddam" on that occasion.

Spooky, huh?
