We seldom see eye to eye with Pravda, which has done some good reporting on Zimbabwean genocide and other issues but often has a hysterically anti-U.S. tone even long after the fall of Soviet communism.
But we couldn't help but take note of its story Thursday on anti-French sentiment in America, which also noted NewsMax.com, correctly, as one of America's leading news services online.
Here's what Pravda said:
"NewsMax.com, one of the leading online news services standing for American values, has launched an anti-France campaign on the American Internet. The website issued a very aggressive leaflet calling 'to defend America'..."
Then Pravda went on to blast "bellicose ravings" against poor widdle France, which like Russia is a big business and military ally of Iraq and other terrorist nations.
Pravda fumed at NewsMax's list of French companies to boycott and concluded: "We have already reported that complete censorship has been recently established in the USA. Let's mention the conflict connected with TV host Phil Donahue dismissed from MSNBC for his anti-American position concerning the Iraqi crisis. And the deeper U.S. troops get involved into the slaughter in the Persian Gulf, the stricter and more cruel the censorship is going to be. U.S. hawks behind Bush's back know their business very well and conscientiously execute it."
Apparently the Russkies still aren't quite used to capitalism. Note to Pravda: Poor old Phil Donahue would still be polluting the airwaves if anybody watched him.

LOL,.........
I wonder if the 'French' are having a 'Truth-ache'...???
LOL
Ya think FOX or CNN run breathless stories any time Pravda or any other bedunked operation criticizes them?
Well, I wouldn't put Fox and CNN in the same league anymore. Fox is crushing CNN and leaves them further behind with each passing day. Now Fox is gaining on the 3 majors and they are terrified.
As to whether Fox would report a negative story about itself being told by another news source? Absolutely, it does it all the time. Do YA ever watch Tony Snow on Fox News Sunday? He talks about the laughable, emotional critics that try, unsuccessfully, to attack him and Fox News. And, he does it with glee. He loves the negative press from the haters of balanced reporting, and the negative letters from pacifist wussies even more.
