Gotta agree that the Army is to blame on this one...they knew he was acting whacko and did'nt wanna fight...DUH??? He should have bee sent to a secure area, boarded out for substandard performance and denied any veteran's benefits.

NOW, we'll have to counsel him rehabilitate him put him on Prozac or something, and send his unit to "Muslim sensitivity training and awareness"...or...he could slip and fall somewhere late at night...cause a startling noise and become a casualty of "friendly fire"???

Yes...the CO could take serious action...but in TODAY's Army (military for tjhatmatter) you ain't gonna find one single swining male appendege with the gonads to step to the plate...the COs are too busy protecting and advancing their own careers! (The CO knew this jerk was acting whacko and didn't want to fight against "Muslims"...and what did he do? NOTHING...might have dented his career ass!)

attack of political correctness.

You will never convince me that this guy was resentful becuase his commanders refused to send him to the front lines.

I will never believe that he did this for any other reason than what it boils down to. His newly found faith in Islam!

If your in the "trenches" and your name is Akbar, or Abdul etc. it might be prudent to change your name tag to just plain "Bob", maybe.

What do Santa, the Easter Bunny, and a peaceful Muslim have in common?

All are figments of the imagination.

Greta Van Sustren asked a few hours ago, "WHAT was this guy doing there?"

I wanted to add just one word to that question, "WTF was this guy doing there?"

And what is his name? "Assman" Akbar? Isn't that a friend of Cosmo Kramer's, the one with the license plate?

I'm glad to read that the army isn't connecting Islam with this man's murdering acts. In fact, when a person decides to step outside humanity and murder, he will use whatever excuse is handy. He willfully chooses evil and can give it any name at all. But he must be held accountable for it. This killer MUST lose his life, and soon.

I hate to wave the bloody shirt of Vietnam, but suddenly I am called to do so. I fear we have not learned our lesson. I fear we are attempting to prosecute this war with one hand tied behind our backs. Shock & Awe is a joke -- and our enemy is laughing. We cannot win this way. The people of Iraq must be made to submit to us. Those who love us may demonstrate that but we must view them all as hostile until proven otherwise. Only through strength can we defeat these people in order to save them. And no, there is no inconsistency there.

This is a brilliant move.

There are those that would love for this to devolve into an argument wherein this man's Muslim religion moves to center stage.

By steadfastly maintaining that this was a "disgruntled" soldier, who attempted to frag some officers, the case can stand on its, more simple, more easy to establish motives.

"The guy was disgruntled He fragged some officers. In a war zone. He killed one. He wounded others. Guilty as charged. Sentence? Death!"

Force the defense attorney to interject the "Religion of Peace" into this trial. Let the defense make the case that the "Religion of Peace" was both a substantive motivation for the acts, and exculpitory, at the same time.

It would be interesting to watch those semantic gymnastics in operation.

Well, if the Army won't do it, that means the govt won't either. And that is a guarantee that the lamestream won't keep the connection in print. And so it falls on 'we, the people' to keep this in the public consciousness. How MANY terrorist attacks have been committed over the years, in the name of this cult of murder?

We have not declared a war on the 'religion' of islam. They have brought THEIR war of islam to US.

Now, I have to 'run off' and take care of some old folks. Will be back. (if I'm not banned by then)

Inflame the Muslims, get them all against us rather than staying on the sidelines.

Thanks a million for making my point. If the United States has to be so concerned about "inflaming" Muslims, then the U.S. military has no business putting them in combat and leaving one in charge of the hand grenade storage facility.

All your questions are answered with: "We have to be PC at any cost".

Just ask any of the islam-sympathizers on here. They'll tell you that it's more imporant to allow islam to fester than for us to save ourselves.

And this is different from what that guy did, exactly how?

For one thing, I'd have a very specific target in mind -- I wouldn't be firing at random.

Well, at least you're being honest here. All that bullsh!t about "the liberation of Iraq" didn 't even last a week.

"I was furious," Womack recalled, standing next to pools of blood and scorched canvas inside the tent. "I was thinking, 'How did the enemy get into our camp?'

I keep wondering this:

Did the U.S. allow card carrying Nazi Party members to join our forces in WW2?

shame on this country that lets PC kill americans. Either the President gets Muslims out of the military now or there will be more deaths by these freaks. Not to mention get them out of the govt too. (muslims are trying to take over from within)
