Here's another flyer on this weekends events in Texas. In Austin, we're adding Jerry Patterson, our Land Commissioner as a speaker. He's an ex-Marine, ex-State Senator, Patriot and our newly elected Honorable Land Commissioner.

Rallies for America This Weekend in Austin, Waco, and College Station Will Support U.S. Troops and President Bush in Effort to Liberate Iraq

Austin, TX - Following a Rally for America in Dallas last weekend cosponsored by the Young Conservatives of Texas (YCT) and the Texas Review Society/Austin Review attended by over 3,000 patriotic Americans, similar rallies to support our troops and the liberation of Iraq will be held this weekend across Texas sponsored by these groups and many others. Rallies will be held Friday evening, March 28 in Waco and Sunday, March 30 in College Station and Austin. All Texans are urged to join us for these patriotic events.

The Austin Rally for America will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 30 on the south steps of the Texas State Capitol. The Waco Rally for America will take place on Friday, March 28 at 9:00 pm at the Fountain Mall in the center of Baylor University campus. The College Station Rally for America is Sunday, March 30 at 1:00 pm in the Academic Plaza on the campus of Texas A&M University.

Speakers at the Austin Rally for America will include Retired U.S. Colonel Hugh Shine, KLBJ 590 AM talk show host Don Crawford, Travis County Republican Party Chairman Alan Sager, and former Texas State Rep. and founder of the Patriot Academy Rick Green. In addition to the inspiring speakers, the Austin Rally will also feature patriotic signs and music.

The Waco Rally for America will also be highlighted by a speech by Green as well as a concert by the The Eric Hanke Band. Supporters are encouraged to wear camouflage and donations to benefit the Red Cross and our POWs will be accepted.

The College Station Rally for America will feature color guard, speakers, music, tables to create letters to send to the troops and make yellow ribbons, patriotic face painting, and an opportunity to sign the In Support of America Petition sponsored by the Young Conservatives of Texas at Texas A&M.

The sponsors of the Texas Rallies for America include the Young Conservatives of Texas, Texas Review Society/The Austin Review, Free Republic - Heart of Texas Chapter, GOPUSA, The Flip Side with Don Crawford on KLBJ 590 AM, Travis County Republican Party, Beta Theta Pi University of Texas at Austin Chapter, Lynn Wooley Show on KTEM Temple, TX, and Williamson County Republican Party.

Volunteers who wish to help out before the Austin Rally for America are encouraged to arrive at the state capitol at 1:45 P.M. Tasks include making signs, distributing literature, and setting up tables and chairs for the event. The Austin Rally for America website also has flyers in Word and Acrobat format that can be downloaded and printed.

YCT University of Texas Chapter Chairman and Rally for America coordinator Austin Kinghorn stated, "At the Rallies for America throughout Texas this weekend, freedom-loving citizens will stand united in support of President Bush, our brave men and women in the armed forces, and human rights for the Iraqi people who continue to be brutally slaughtered by Saddam Hussein's ghastly regime."

Austin Rally for America Coordinator Brendan Steinhauser declared, "This weekend we will be speaking out on behalf of the nearly 80 percent of Americans who support the liberation of Iraq. We will raise our voices in patriotism to counteract the radical fringe who have stopped traffic in Austin with recent riots that have featured waving of the Iraqi flag and posters depicting President Bush as Hitler. Fox News has reported that, as a result of such riots, San Francisco is incurring $900,000 a day in law enforcement costs while Seattle Police have been forced to stop responding to all non-emergency calls. This is deplorable."

Rally for America Coordinator Brian Bodine noted, "These anti-war riots run the risk of signaling to Saddam Hussein that he has friends in this country and they sap our law enforcement of the resources to counteract terrorism at this critical time for homeland security. Unlike the radical leftist anti-war rioters, we will not tie up police by blocking traffic and engaging in violence. Instead, by paying tribute to our troops and standing in solidarity with our President, we will send a strong message that America and its allies have the resolve to do whatever it takes to win this war and bring freedom to the oppressed Iraqi people."
