"and during the first gulf war a challenger tank recorded a 1 on 1 kill of an iraqi tank from..5 kilometres. The longest hit in history."
Is that 5 kilometers or .5 kilometers? .5 kilometers would only be about 500 yards....

The fact that we are engaging the enemy in a manner to minimize collateral damage is further indication that we are the good guys. We take a few risks to preserve the lives of even our enemies.
We could easily Nuke any city that doesn't surrender. I believe that our kinder, gentler strategery isn't driven by some PC attempt to maintain favorable public opinion but instead comes from a genuine sense of right and wrong. Bush is head and shoulders above any president we've had in a long time.

Finally someone has said it!
I cringe at the mention from the press we are facing tough times and this could be the next vietnam war. We are kickig arse bigtime in a war that's 5 days old.
I would love to know the number of Iraq military casualties. One reason we might not have that KIA data for the Iraq military is because we are too busy moving forward and gaining ground. I also believe we aren't going to publicize the numbers of killed enemy soldiers, because we are liberating the people of Iraq, not comparing kill ratios.
If I had to guess though, the Iraq military casualties would be in the 1500+ range easy, maybe more.

It is getting a little tiresome watching this stuff on TV. Most Americans probably think it should go like a movie. I am frankly, very impressed by what we have accomplished so far.
The 24 hour media news outlets have to fill up a lot of air time. Unfortunately, it becomes a lot of dribble.

Most Americans probably think it should go like a movie. I believe that's true, to some extent....the younger ones....but don't you really think it's the MEDIA that thinks it should be like a VIDEO GAME? Their comments/questions are atrocious. Two even referred to the "shock and awe" as a "SHOW." They disgust me. (Not FOX).
