If he gets CBR Warfare qualified, he'll be stuck in that job forever. Infantry allows a lot more flexibility. One of my buddies shipped over to the Seabees mainly because he couldn't stand being the CBR guy anymore, but they wouldn't let him switch jobs.

I don't know what CBR means...........

He is joining the National Guard........would what you said apply to him?
