I whipped through Isiaiah 13 + 14 and find more than just a suggestion that this could be the foretelling of what's going on. I'll have to read it again at my leisure to let it sink in better!

But, surely they know that Chapter 13 and 14 in Isaiah is a vision of the END of Babylon.....brought on by troops "mustered by God" from a nation "beyond the horizon" who will stand with Israel. The nation's rule by "evildoers" is finally brought to an end when the head becomes "carrion under a blanket of maggots," his sons also killed .... Truly, read those chapters and see if they don't startle you.
Wow...I definitely will read them. Thanks!

Paraphrasing... [from the Bible] Two prophets will rise from the dead? They will correct the world that shows bad as good and good as bad.I would love to have the exact reference for that, when you have the time. There is also a prophecy in the Book of Revelation about an army crossing the Euphrates.

Sandstorms are not good for machinery. But hopefully we have planned for them. We can thank the French and their friends for delaying the war. It probably would have been cooler and pleasanter if it had started two weeks earlier.

Okay, let's all settle down....Isaiah 13 and 14 are interesting, I will give you that...but what about the part that says the "attacking hordes" will rape the women and kill the children of Babylon? I don't think this means we are God's army. You can read it any way you want.
It also talks about Babylon never being inhabited again...

Some Iraqis See Sandstorm as Divine Intervention
That's right. That's why our guys had a great day and killed 200 Iraqis, and not one AMERICAN died today! Thank God!

A Message for the Iraqis
"Yeah, I'm bleeding
But I'm still upright
But you'll be dead
By tomorrow night
The worst mistake
You ever made
Was to kill our guys
In such an evil way
Now we're pissed
Gonna kick your ass
And you can't stop us
It'll be a blast"

Actually, I thought it was from God too. The storm keeps the Iraquis from using their chemical weapons.
To: Cultural Jihad
We had Operation Infinate Justice, and I thought perhaps it was not all coincedence that we kept hearing 'shock & awe' if Shekinah would be a widely recognized term in certain parts of the world.

Amen.
To: EternalVigilance
Yep. It's from God alright. And the Devil is about to get his ass kicked.Well said

Remember the last nation that thought that they had or could create their own storm from god to help them defeat the US?
Within in a year the US Flag flew over Japan's Capital and a serving American General ran the nation in charge of an army of occupation.
Odds of history repeating itself?

How does that verse go? There's an angel in the whirlwind, directing the storm?

Found it:
This Week's Suggested Book from the Ashbrook Center (Week of February 1, 1998) Angel in the Whirlwind: The Triumph of the American Revolution by Benson Bobrick Published by Simon & Schuster 553 pages, January 1997 $30.00 (Hardcover) ISBN: 0684810603 A percentage of the proceeds from your purchase of this book from Amazon.com will benefit the Ashbrook Center. Overwhelmed with debt following its victory in the French and Indian Wars, England began imposing harsh new tariffs and taxes on the colonies in the 1760s. When it did, the independence movement grew in strength until protest and rebellion eventually erupted into war. But despite the charismatic leadership of the independence movement, more than half the colonists remained loyal to England. Benson Bobrick casts light on such important, often overlooked aspects of the American Revolution, and offers compelling portraits of the major figures, as well as some illuminating observations by some of their lesser-known contemporaries. He thrillingly describes the major battles, from Lexington and Concord to Bunker Hill, Trenton, Saratoga, Camden, and Kings Mountain, and then the climactic siege of Yorktown when the British flag of empire was finally lowered before patriots guns. At the same time, Angel in the Whirlwind weaves together the social and political as well as the military history of the struggle into one epic tale. A variety of voices is represented: English and American, patriot and loyalist, soldier and civilian, foreign adventurer having come to aid the Revolution and German mercenary hired to serve in the army of the king. Their vivid presence brings life to every page. We know the Race is not to the swift nor the Battle to the Strong. Do you think an Angel rides in the Whirlwind and directs this Storm? -- John Page to Thomas Jefferson (July 20, 1776)

Isa.66
[15] For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
Jer.23
[19] Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.
Jer.30
[23] Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.
Nah.1
[3] The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet.
