"The storm is from God," he said, looking out his trembling window. "Until the aggression started, never in my life did I see a storm like this. We all believe in God, we all have faith in God. And God is setting obstacles against the Americans."

Wrong-O.

God's giving our guys a SCREEN behind which to advance, and which also provides an atmosphere uniquely unsuited for a biochem attack...

"Yes, Mu'ad-dib. A great-grandmother of storms."

Any Republican Guard who read Dune has been needing clean underwear for hours...

I am always pleased to see someone who understands the upside in a situation. This is a VERY important point, missed by most here.

With all this defeatist talk in the major media about the sandstorm, all I can think of
is a scene from a movie "The Longest Day".

When the Germans in the lookout post look out into the haze from a previous storm
and see (as far as they can) an empty shoreline...a few seconds later, an ocean full of
ships; some battleships/cruisers/destoryers lobbing shells at them.

OK, maybe the analogy isn't perfect...but still I wonder if history will "sort of"
repeat itself.

I love speedy's answer in #5:

The storm is from God. The cruise missiles are from W.
