"since his district voted like 75% for Gore, but aren't there any non-traitorous Democrats who could run against him in the primary?" A: No. In the center of his district, Pro-Iraq bumper stickers are common. A pro-American Democrat would be defeated in Seattle. Recall that McDermott achieved 74% of the vote AFTER visiting Baghdad.

Like Rush said, the DNC will use these people to spawn their idiot stuff - beecause of 2 reasons - first, the guy's seat is safe from the 2004 election (I'm presuming that's true of this guy), and second - it allows Hitlery and her goons to remain above it all - moderate doncha know!!

Howdy
I am heartily pleased that a diehard saddamocrat, arch hater of America, and determined leftist hostile to the foundations of western society, endorses the legitimacy of our effort to free innocent Americans from the tender mercies of the butcher of Baghdad.
By advancing an effort to remove the President's legal authority to conclude this twelve year struggle against a virulent and growing evil, Baghdad Jim McDermott tacitly acknowledges that the communist rent-a-mob saddamites in our streets are protesting against a legally sanctioned, legitimate exercise in the self defense of American sons and daughters, in short, they are full of it, a truth enshrined for posterity in the actions of none other than Baghdad Jim himself.
Thank you for further delegitimizing the demonstrations, and also, Jimbo, thank you for demonstrating that you are a blithering idiot, destructive even to the diseased hate America agenda which owns your allegiance.

Remember Hillarys health care package? Democrats LIKE dictatorships!

One can only hope that the constituents of McDermott as well as the other anti-American, Jim Moron, "show them the door 2004."

Now I'm confused, I thought people were against the war precisely because American servicemen would get hurt.

Last week McDermott again brought honor to our state by voting no on a congressional resolution supporting our troops, the resolution passed by an overwhelming 392-11. McDermott is at it again today, co-authoring a resolution to rescind authorization for the war in which we are currently engaged. What makes this even more disgraceful, disgusting and despicable is that one of his House colleagues has just been activated and deployed to the war.

Well, if Americans had thought that way in the past, we would be speaking German now. Cowards and America haters are against this war.

Hang on a minute, I think it's pretty unlikely that Iraq was going to invade the U.S. (more likely North Korea will invade with nukes I would have thought).
