I'm telling you, there is something odd about that "tent city" out there.

I doubt they wasted any time on a tent city, but there is a four mile wide group of tank and hummer tracks! We now know the cause of all the dust blowing across Iraq !

You are making different wrong assumptions. These same Muslims who see us as "infidels" fought RIGHT ALONG SIDE us in 1991, gave us their bases, and assisted us in every way.

All Muslims are not the same, any more than all Christians are the same. Ever hear of the "religious wars" in Europe? To the Catholics, Protestants were "heathens" and heretics, and to the Protestants, the Catholics were.

El Cid allied with Moors who were loyal to the King of Spain to drive out other Moors from Spain in the 1400s. There are countless examples.

YOU expected giant crowds of people with banners and American flags---but these people were betrayed in the 1990s. They won't forget that betrayal, but, equally important, they won't ignore the fact that WE ARE THERE TO HELP THEM NOW! They will cheer us, and sooner, rather than later.

Well, I didn't mean that they made a camp there, but there is something odd about that deserted city.

Re: The II Marine Expeditionary Force is now believe to be located in Jordan.

If this is true in this day and age, it would be the best kept secret since D-Day.

I'll be damned..I was just asking last night on another thread where the 2nd Mar Div was..Now I know.

I wonder if the history books will show sympathy on the IRG after getting their asses thouroughly squashed.

Thanks for setting honway straight. The betrayal by the US must be fresh in the minds of those in the south but I doubt there is an honest citizen alive in Iraq, particularly Baghdad that does not pray for deliverance from the butcher.

The thought of killing them to save them is appalling and voiced too often these past few days.

With a strength in excess of 47,000 Marines and Sailors, II MEF is representative of the largest and most powerful Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF). II MEF is comprised of four basic components: (1) II MEF Command Element containing personnel and equipment necessary for effective planning and execution of operations; (2) a ground combat element - the 2d Marine Division; (3) aviation combat element - the 2d Marine Aircraft Wing; and (4) a combat service support element - the 2d Force Service Support Group.

This is like a blast from the past...I used to fix these guys' copiers. Saddam is toast.

An excellent example of thinking outside of the box.

The Bush administration does this all the time, especially with the press. Take the age-old "leak" problem -- the administration plants as many fake leaks as are real. They've got the press (and the Democrats, by extension) spinning in circles, not only about this but about many other things as well.

You are exactly right on that report. I remember it too. I'm telling you, there is something odd about that "tent city" out there.

It would also explain why the Allies bombed the only gas station from Baghdad to Jordan so noone can make the trip, and why there are NO refugees even trying. They don't want any witnesses.

In fact, they may be blocking the road at this point.

WE ARE THERE TO HELP THEM NOW! They will cheer us, and sooner, rather than later.

It really hasn't sunk in yet, has it.

Muslims around the world celebrating in the streets after 9-11. Thousands of Muslims in the United States given the prior warning with general information about the 9-11 attack, and not a word to the infidels. Muslims in lawn chairs set up across the bay prior to the first airliner crashing in to the World Trade Center. Muslim children telling their school teachers about the 9-11 attack days before with comments like "World War III will begin on Tuesday and you will lose." and "you see those towers, they will not be there next week."

I know it is difficult to understand, but there are many Muslims that hate Americans more than they love freedom.

>>Any able to figure out why the RG is charging south??<<

Because they took the bait, cheerfully provided by CNN.

"He is neither a strategist nor is he schooled in the operational arts, nor is he a tactician, nor is he a general. Other than that he's a great military man"-Norman Swartzkopf's assessment of Saddam Hussein in 1991.

Thee's an icorrect quote in #53. The actual quote is below.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/550317/posts

Lucich said the boy approached his teacher on the afternoon of Sept. 10 and casually told her:

"Tomorrow, World War III will begin. It will begin in the United States, and the United States will lose."

I'm hot and cold on this. Sometimes I wish we would just prosecute this war to our fullest potential and get it over with, but then I think of the opportunity this might present to smooth some feathers in the ME by not being overly violent. It ends up being a question of the safety of our boys' lives versus the larger geopolitical questions of the area. I'm glad I don't have to decide...

We've apparently owned two of the three airfields (H1, H2, or H3) in western Irag for a week. What do you think that they have been doing with them, setting up golf courses?

Where did you hear of the gas stations being bombed?

A couple, three days back. Widely reported. Post 160 is what they called it I believe. It would keep a lot of people out of the way if they knew they couldn't make the trip.
