"Cowboy in the White House" by Claude King (new song)

From a (mostly-lib, interestingly) mailing list I frequent:

"A few Texas radio stations are playing a new song by Claude King about George Bush and Iraq called "Cowboy In The White House". I haven't heard an overly patriotic, pro-war song like this since Vietnam. King is best and probably only known for his early 60's country hit "Wolverton Mountain". Just click the link to hear the song.

Let's call our local CW radio station and request they play the song. Guess you could call this a RadioFreep. If the libs happen to be listening when it's played it should drive them NUTS!

Thank you, immensely.

GREAT song.

Claude King...wow. I've always loved Wolverton Mountain...a true classic, beautiful as a song can be.

Pinging the Finest.

Just found this little gem and am compelled to share.

True country music. A truly patriotic song.

I'm looking forward to hearing the song, although I'm having some trouble with my music software. I noticed that Tillman Franks is also involved. Tillman Franks and the Timberline Riders recorded one of my favorite country/western songs, "Hot Rod Shotgun Boogie #2," in late 1951.

There is a link for feedback to Tillman, and pictures, and some background of the song. Warms the heart!

Thank you for the ping, jw, and thanks, lainie, for posting this song for our Cowboy in the White House! Our heroes do always wear white hats. God Bless this cowboy, and the Brit who stood beside him this morning at the news conference.

Thanks, President Bush, Tony Blair, and the rest of our allies for doing the right thing.
