These awards were for the year 2002. altho Jennings has always been a thorn, his actions and comments, the last few months, have been most abominable. I'm sure he's in their gun-sights for next year.

The MRC publishes a daily list of politically negative infractions made by the media. I get it on-line and it is very interesting! Jennings is ALWAYS mentioned

You can sign up for these daily alerts here: (just give an e-mail addy and they will be mailed to you.)

They are well done. A list of each topic is numbered and given first. This is followed by a paragraph of each topic, giving the general facts. Finally there is each topic with a complete rundown. You can read whatever you have time for. I look forward to it each day, and since I've been getting it I can't remember when Jennings wasn't on the list!!!

As far as Janeanadana Garofalo goes - she is new to the news, and not really a journalist or reporter. Never-the-less, I hope some category can be made for these 'people who play pundits on TV' in the next Awards Dinner.

Altho our old faithful, Helen Thomas, was mentioned and was among the nominees this year, she didn't win anything. I hope her recent outward hostility will also put her in the cross hairs for next year. At least we can hope!

Helen will probably get a lifetime award for her chronic hostility to anything anti-Clinton.

As far a catagory goes - that is an excellent name - "I am not a pundit but I play one on TV award".
