Names hit home harder than numbers. These soldiers have sacrificed all of their tomorrows. Perhaps we should re-evaluate what we will do with ours.

I have a feeling the wal for these names is comming soon.

I wish protesters would see the families grieving behind these names.

The missing in action are the ones I feel the most for.
I hope we don't leave any behind.

Thanks to both of you for your posts.

Dear Lord, receive these brave warriors to your rest and comfort their families. Guard and protect all their souls, and bring them home, to you or to their families.

Amen.

How about a list of those lost in the World Trade Center, the U.S. Cole (I assume their names are not here unless lost at sea is the catagory), the U.S. Embassies, the 246 Marines lost in the Lebanon barracks explosion, those lost in the Saudi barracks explosion, the first World Trade Center attack in 1993, the Murrah Building in OKC, etc., etc.? The importance of those names is that it helps explain why those listed died.

We would also be surprised at how many military personnel are killed each year in everyday training and operations even in the absence of hostilties. Soldiering is a dangerous business.

May God bless them all.
