They have already lost control of this...don't kid yourself. When this penetrates into africa and the middle east you may see 100,000,000infectes x 3% death rate = 3,000,000 dead.

Maybe a higher death rate. The sanitary conditions in Africa and the Middle East are worse, and many people there are already in marginal health. I bet people infected with HIV will be especially vulnerable; there are lots of those in Africa.

Not to sound harsh but people infected with AIDS would have almost no chance of surviving this. I believe the death rate in Africa if this gets there could be more on the order of 10%. The Asian culture has a bad habit of under estimating problems they encounter...this could be far worse in China than they will admit...time will tell
