BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Iraqi Foreign Minister Naji Sabri said Monday that U.S. and British forces are being "defeated on all fronts and are retreating in the face of strong strikes" carried out by a popular resistance.

He said that the coalition leadership is "contradicting itself" in statements and its stance is the "subject of laughter in the world."

Hmmm. Last time I heard the word "Quagmire" was right before the whole house of cards fell down in Afghanistan.

Imagine any human using the words Islam and values in the same sentence. Aside from that, this mutants words are all sound and fury signifying nothing.

That's cute. Of course Iraq's leadership is crying to the UN, their allied institution.

It looks like Baghdad residents will sure be surprised when 3ID and the 101 start entering the city, what with the coalition's crushing defeat and all.

Uh, yeah. And the Titanic was unsinkable. Doesn't this translate to "we can talk all the smack we want because we're safe in this bunker" or something like it?

"The aggression has to stop," Sabri said.

It will, as soon as these guys are stains on the floor. These guys are like democrats... repeat the b.s. often enough and it (hopefully) becomes the truth.

Sabri described the coalition's military problems as a "quagmire,"

He must have gotten a copy of the latest DNC talking points memo.

Don't pass him off as being stupid. He is using the Islamic secret weapon. "Make the enemy laugh so hard that they can't use their weapons."

"If they continue to be stubborn with their aggression, we will attack them with all they have," Sabri said. "No one will be safe except for those who surrender to us on the battlefield."

Hard to imagine POW's taken by Iraq as being "safe" right now.

I continue to support a couple or three well placed tactical nukes as being our best war plan.

"I can assure you that the prisoners [of war] are being treated very well, according to the Geneva Conventions and our Islamic values."

Are these the same "Islamic values" that left 3,000 innocent Americans dead on 9/11/01??? If so, I'm even MORE worried about our POW's.

Their palaces are being destroyed, Iraqi TV is off the air (last I heard), enemy forces bomb their capitol every night and are surrounding the city, Southern cities are being liberated, Southern oilfields and 6 air bases are captured and secured by coalition forces, no Iraqi airplanes able to take off. In the North, the enemy along with the Kurds have advanced to Kurkirk (SP?), all in less than 2 weeks - yes, most definitely a quagmire.

Maybe we should surrender "Iraqi" style...

"He must have gotten a copy of the latest DNC talking points memo"

He also sounds like a Democrat in the way he accuses others of doing exactly what he does, as if jealously protecting exclusive rights dirty tactics.

i.e., "U.S. and British forces are being 'defeated on all fronts and are retreating in the face of strong strikes' carried out by a popular resistance." vs. "If they continue to be stubborn with their aggression," and " seeks to have the U.N. Security Council demand a halt to the coalition campaign. He said he hopes the Security Council exercises its jurisdiction." vs. their total disregard for the U.N. for 12 years.

Maybe if he survives the war this guy should move to the U.S. and run for congress....he could probably give McDermott and a few other Dems a run for their money.

Where did this guy get the word "quagmire"? Could it be from our reporters? Maybe Bagdad Pete?

The only quagmire we are in is our troops wading through knee deep Iraqi wreckage.
