Not good

Canada now has 129 which includes 4 kids, two of them under 24 months old. At the high rise in Hong Kong that has so many (213) - they are taking the inhabitants to quarantine camps but many got away into the population yesterday before the quarantine officials came this morning. Because of this high rise, they are now saying that SARS is most probably airborne.

N95 masks are now selling for 50% higher then three days ago on eBay and stores are starting to run out in the US, especially in those states where there are suspected cases.

As a note, the US has only said that cases are suspected, they refuse to admit that any of them are SARS. Some of this is due to the definition that says the person so affected must have traveled to China, Hong Kong, Vietnam or Singapore or been in direct contact with someone who was infected. Since 80% of the SARS cases don't need to be or end up in the hospital, who knows how many actual cases are out there.

Oil of Oregano, Olive Leaf Extract and Elderberry are still the herbs of choice. see: http://www.vitaminusa.com/micmodtecnot.html

Wash you hands, often, especially after having touched things in public. Keep your hands away from your face unless you wash them first.

"Not Good...

DITTOS AND DOUBLE DITTOS.

Thank you Capernia for posting this. I had NO IDEA this had reached the US, tho' to be truthful I knew it was only a matter of time. There is something mighty fishy (and I don't mean a cross-species source for the ailment) about this whole thing, or I suppose it could be a new "Spanish Flu". That also was incredibly fast moving, killed the young and the healthy, and spread at a time of war.

This is not good.

Excellent advise..door knobs and handles ...You can buy clean wipes at the drug store and carry them in a bag.

One of the "nursing tricks" I use is after you wash your hands in a public washroom use the towel to turn off the water knob and then use it to open the door to get out.

If you do not you just put all the germs you washed off your hands back on..90% of people do not wash their hand after using the toilet..all those germs are on door push plates and knobs when you leave the restroom..

For any freepers who might want to find N95 masks: they are stocked in the paint supply section of any large hardware store (for the moment), as workmen use them too (N95 has a charcoal layer which will filter paint fumes and "other stuff")
