She is smart as a whip, but, indeed, fashion-challenged.

I like her. I could care less what she wears. And, yes, its refreshing to see something besides Old Crusty.

C'mon now. You would think someone would assist her in selecting something less outrageous to wear.
What if Donald Rumsefeld showed up wearing something like that? Might as well be in a clown costume.

In that particular position, I would have to say, as much as I hate to, that her attire should reflect professionalism. When she is not on the tube, she could express herself clotheswise, but not when acting as a Pentagon spokesperson.

Somehow I don't think these complaints originated from men. This catty nonsense has a woman's mark all over it.

BTW: To this crowd, "Evasive Nature" means "Won't disclose all the particulars of the operational battle plan as we continue to demand."

I noticed during one briefing she was wearing some type of suit coat that was half bright pink and half brown split right down the middle, Im glad im not the only one that thought that was a little wierd, no big deal though.

Don't let them get us off track folks. If someone in the media were to write a critique of a DemoRat woman office-holder's dress style, the left would be all over those *$!@ conservatives--can't treat a woman with the repect she deserves, just wants her to be another pretty place. See--that's why they have the "gender gap" and we get the soccer moms.
The left just can't stand to see conservative women in positions of authority and power--look at how low and disgustingly they go after Condi Rice.
If this woman dressed perfectly they'd be upset by the way she does her hair, walks her dog, or how much cream and sugar she puts in her coffee.

The people complaining about this have far too much time on their hands and way too little sense of priority.

I was very surprised the first time I saw her..She had on a blazer that was made from huge patches of brightly colored fabric ..not only was it ugly it was inappropriate.
If I saw it at a resort I would just think it was a woman of no taste..seeing it in a business setting (let alone on TV) told me she lacked business sense too.
She is representing the military not Human services..someone need to buy her a navy blazer and a grey one so she can at least look serious

Has anyone else noted how the leftists
SCREAM BLOODY MURDER about how women should never be judged by their sex, but then the leftists are the first to go for the fashion or "looks" hatchet jobs?
Remember Florida, and the makeup comments? Or everything ever said about Linda Tripp?
Makes you wonder, doesn't it.

Hey style is atrocious, reaching the point of so bad it makes me wonder if she has a mental problem of some kind.
When you have a highly public function, you must be aware of your appearance. And those jackets scream "cuckoo"

1. If she is color-blind, then she doesn't really know how bright and colorful her outfits. Lots of men are color-blind as well. We just don't pull up pant legs to see if there are blue/black, black/gray mismatches on a daily basis.
2. If she was a man, the same attention would not be paid to his attire, no matter what the topic.
I wish certain journalists had something better to occupy their time, like WRITE ABOUT THE WAR AND ITS TACTICAL, STRATEGIC, OVERWHELMING SUCCESSES.
