The town’s water supply is contaminated. The Army’s 422nd Civil Affairs Battalion coordinated the delivery of thousands of gallons of purified water.

Navy trainers go through daily exercises with a bottle-nosed dolphin, Wednesday, April 2, 2003, at Camp Patriot in southeastern Kuwait. Trained to spot lethal mines littering the sea floor, nine Atlantic, dolphins were flown into the Persian Gulf last month to help clear the British-controlled Iraqi port of Umm Qasr so that humanitarian aid can be shipped into the country.
