I believe it may be more in the form of political correctness. I have a hunch this may be the inside source of a Colonel Hunt who is a frequent military contributor of FNC. A few days ago he read an Email from his battle field source, that indicated 10K RG forces were killed and was quite descriptive. Possibly this Colonel was that retired Colonel's source.

Well it sure is plausible - and important - that enemy casualties remain a mystery. The doofus Arabs will never admit so many died, and we don't need that score in the newspapers. Best to just STFU.
