According to MIT, he was still teaching when they published this page http://web.mit.edu/invent/iow/bose.html in 1999 and he was 68 at the time. He does have an interesting bio. Thanks for the link. I'd had the impression that Prof. Bose was a bit older than 72 (now), but as I think about it that sounds about right.
