I was just telling BeP that we will get the EPA on them and its mob of federal lawyers will hound him to within an inch of his life. Surrender will follow within hours.

I might actually feel a glimmer of sorrow for them in that case. Har. (NOT)

Saddam has been caught stashing evil sh er stuff in the rivers and lakes already years ago just by accident. That is why any real investigation must search them carefully. This leak could well be the result of hidden weapons materials. I would say that the probabilities of weapons stashed, dumping and pollution from his or his cronies companies are about equal.

I just saw a Centcom line on Fox stating that we did not take out the power in Baghdad. You are probably correct that Saddams folks did it.

It's going to be a mess, no doubt. But time and nature, along with a concerted effort to retrieve the sunken barrels, will someday work.

There's a famous river near where I grew up that once "caught fire". When I was a kid the water looked like a swirl of day-glo paints and smelled like nail polish remover. Today, at least according to the EPA, you can eat the pike, bass, and blue gill that live in it.
