Poor minority kids are far more likely to have less-qualified teachers, far more likely to have watered-down curriculum.

And racial preferences are going to produce "more qualified" teachers?

A college graduate who speaks ebonics is hardly going to improve the lot of America's poor.

...less qualified than what? People with Education degrees are consistenlty in the bottom 20% of every graduating class, and the public school teachers unions require degrees in education.

Making it an issue of race instead of one of need is like teaching a pig to sing so that he tastes better when you eat him. It's a waste of time, and doesn't address the real issue at all.
