I think the "debunking" element was that the girl who testified claimed to be an eyewitness. Then it was found that she was not there, merely telling what others had told her. For this document, however, the DOD got the information from hospital records. The incident itself is not debunked, merely the witness who claimed to have been an eye witness.

Actually, what was debunked was that that young girl who testified to congress saw anything, as she wasn't even in Kuwait at the time.
