3/4's of Fox's Exclusive Spectacular Footage of The 3rd Infantry in Baghdad

Fox truely has spectacular footage of the 3rd Infantry Division as it fought its way into Baghdad and they are right to tout this exclusive video.

But absolutely idiotic is the director that shows only 3/4 of it while hiding the other 1/4 of the screen behind a banner of nonsense. Fox might be the most watched Cable News Channel but it's obvious the director is not one of those watching the coverage. Someone at Fox is not paying attention.

I started watching FOX after 9/11 and have written and called and complained at least 3 times. I HATE all the busy-ness of the screen...the scrolling news at the bottom, the waving flag in the top left, the covering of 1/4 of the screen with nothing worthwhile.

I really wish they'd get rid of all the excessive junk.

Same here! MSNBC also had the huge weapons find today in 120 bunkers 90 miles south of Baghdad!

They should show it in letterbox (taken with the appropiate cameras of course) then there would be room for the banners at the bottom. As taxpayers with televisions we must lobby for this. :{)

Could be worse. I watched CNBC for a bit last week. They had a picture-in-picture thing going like Bloomberg always does. At the top of the hour they swapped the bit with the talking heads with a different picture-in-picture thingy so they were doing picture-in-picture-in-picture.

When I want to actually see a picture I find myself switching to MSNBC...

My husband and I were ranting about this just yesterday. We've been switching to PMSNBC more and more because of this. It gets REALLY frustrating trying to "imagine" what's behind that stupid banner at the bottom of the screen.

Right now, as I type, they're covering 1/4 of the screen with "Operation Iraqi Freedom."

Fox could cut a new trend by doing one of the below:

Shrink by ½ that STUPID FOOTER!!!!!!!!!!!!
ELIMINATE that STUPID FOOTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Make that STUPID FOOTER transparent enough to see through.
(i.e. - get RID of the graphics/OPAQUE colors!!!!!)
Make that STUPID FOOTER a STUPID HEADER(while applying the above)

The Nitworks are screwing up history with these *!%$#! things!

Actually I like the scrolling news across the bottom and the rest of the graphics. In fact, I was going to write them and ask them if they could add another scrolling bar at the bottom for stock prices and also devote the upper right hand corner of their screen for local temperature and weather conditions.
