THE SUN IS PLAYING GAMES WITH ME

The sun is playing games with me
For when I sit under its eye
It stays with me just long enough
To tantalize, to socialize

And then it moves so gradually
Away from me. Then shadows spy
To sit a spell. But in my notes
I’d ‘pointment only with the sun.
