The Iraqis had it all: Migs, Scuds, AK-47s, T-tanks. And they got their asses handed to them. Not surprising. +++

You probably hold in your hand some s=day Ak 47? Or maybe shot it? At least many american did.
Some of them compared Ak 47 with m16. Thier opinions was in favor of first not later. Look here. http://www.gunsnet.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=77 ..

All russian arms builded along same idea. Simple, robust, cheap and powerful.
But if user cann't know how to shoot and how to fight then. No weapon will help.

I say if american troops was armed with russian arms but Iraqis are with american arms. Americans win anyway.

The "American" firms had to win approval to build it which would have been nixed and they knew it. Once Iran was named as part of the "Axis of Evil" any bids were a moot point. If you believe that the reactor was for "energy" in one of the nations with one of the largest oil supplies in the world, then you belong on the DU board with the pro-U.N. fruitcake crowd. This reactor is for military use only. The "Islamic bomb" would be the ultimate terror weapon to check American foreign policy. You Ruskies had best not succeed or one of the radical Muslim groups in your nation might well devestate a Russian city with a nuke made of your own device.

You are a prime example of the ignorance I spoke about. First, prick, that was our people butchered by communists. More Christian martyers died in Stalin's purges then in all of American history twenty fold. So don't even go there.

As for Iraq, first, if you'd educate yourself...you might notice that T-55s are 50 year old tanks and T-72s are 30 year old tanks. Their military has been hamstrung for 12 years. I'd hope the US military could defeat a bunch of Arabs with such limitations, especially considering how much money is spent on it.

No the Chechins don't have to worry, they get their aid from the Saudies and Turks, both fed by the DC. Even when the Saudies blow up Americans, the US government spends millions to convince the US public that the Saudies and their Islamic fantacism are American friends. And when the Turks butcher tens of thousands they are still looked on as friends.

It is the point. I didn't think about it.

But the design of that reactor prevents from producing the weapon grade matherials.
One have to have special plant to enrich that anyway. Russia has such plants. But she never sell none.
I red in russian press that China asked many times during Eltsin time and even Soviet times to buy such plant.
No way was answer.
So they don't have it now and Russia won't help them in future. I'm sure about that.

Yes but trade with the Saudies, Indonesians, Turks and Egyptians is anything but harmless. Nor is giving Arfrat money or building and training and supporting the KLA and Albanian empire building or the Islamics in Bosnia. Bush blocked Russia from bombing the Taliban and even gave them $48 million dollars half a year before they bombed the US...for helping with the poppy crop destruction.

Why support Pakistan which is a nuclear armed dictatorship that sends terrorists into India on a daily basis and created the Taliban? Don't worry, he'll never answer those questions, they are inconvinient to his reality.

Do you have an explanation for the Russian GPS jamming device that was destroyed by an American GPS guided bomb?

Putin is a thug because he is Russian...he served his country and there fore is a thug. Never mind he didn't make policy but was only a colonel (at the end) never mind everything he's done towards a capitalistic and free Russia...he's a thug because he doesn't bend and take orders, he's not a slave or a drunkard or a sell out, he's a patriot for his own country, there fore he must be a thug.

Thre are islamic bomb already. In Pakistan. Russia never helped them with it.

Ruskies had best not succeed or one of the radical Muslim groups in your nation might well devestate a Russian city with a nuke made of your own device. ++++

It is my fear too. I'm sure russian goverment hold tight all of nuclier. But some radioactive was left in KAzakstan. I'm not sure about them. Some of radioactive may fell in wrong hands during first years after USSR fell.
They may cook dirty bomb probably. But hardly nuke.

Yeah, $300 device for a $40,000 bomb, pretty good use and exchange.

Russian GPS jammer is small device. Like small radio unit. So they never installed on one point but moved around.
Hence no GPS bomb may hit it. You need something like HARM, which home of the source of radio emmition.
Consider the cost then.

Jammer costs like $200. But HARM costs like $500000.
The second task of such devices was the compel spending on them the expensive munitions.
One may buy 2500 devices for price of one HARM. Harm hit it. They unpack new one next minute. You have to fire new HARM again.
It inflicts huge damage to military budget of foe. Or else it simply halts the using of GPS guided munition.

I'd say it is trully russian device. It is simple, cheap, robust and powerful.

First, prick, that was our people butchered by communists.

Yeah, prick, that was also your people doing the butchering, and invading other countries and doing more butchering. I find it funny that Russians claim victimhood about their Soviet past, when public opinion polls there show strong support for bringing back the Soviet system.

As for Iraq, first, if you'd educate yourself...you might notice that T-55s are 50 year old tanks and T-72s are 30 year old tanks.

No kidding. It's 50- and 30-year old crap. The Iraqis couldn't afford the new versions of crap. But they did get a taste: those crap GPS jammers that were blown up by a GPS guided bomb.

I'd hope the US military could defeat a bunch of Arabs with such limitations, especially considering how much money is spent on it.

I wonder what the Soviet military spending was compared to Afghanistan military spening.

Even when the Saudies blow up Americans, the US government spends millions to convince the US public that the Saudies and their Islamic fantacism are American friends. And when the Turks butcher tens of thousands they are still looked on as friends.

Throw in the Russians and I guess you could say that us Americans are just suckers for mass murderers. What's puzzling to me is when one country, whose government recently killed millions, feels morally superior to a country who is trying to stop another government from doing the same? I think I saw that some 80% of Russians hoped the US would lose to Saddam. Ahh, friends -- childish, petty, jealous, impotent friends.

And it doesn't work as advertised. The US said a GPS bomb, not a HARM, destroyed the GPS jammer.

Yeah, you're smoking crack. Get off of it, its already killed to much of your brain. If there was such strong support, hmmm, bright light, maybe the communists would win more then 23% of the vote...but you wouldn't know anything about that.

I wonder what the Soviet military spending was compared to Afghanistan military spening.

Probably about as much as the US spent versis the Vietnamese. By the way, the kills millions was 50 years ago...and America know plenty about that too...they were once called the Indians, there are only about 1.5 million of them, that is if you count that 1/4th is all you need to be counted an Indian. Maybe you're familiar with the Indian Question, the Trail of Tears, the Siminal Wars, Wounded Knee, Little Big Horn and hundreds of other such names.

You check the principles of work of GPS munition them HARM.

Then think about why they spent air sorties and munitions to take out "non working devices":))).

Russia never had to help them. The ChiComs and some former Soviet scientists helped the North Koreans and Pakistan develop the bomb. The Islamic bomb in the hands of Iran is the ultimate terror weapon.

That is why you should fear it as we do. Iran will never get the bomb. We will either bomb the plant or have a "regime change" in Iran before they can produce the enriched uranium needed.
