I am suspicious of anyone who has come from the Wilson administration. Is she even prolife?

Maybe, maybe not. There's a big difference between an executive office and a legislative seat. With a legislative body, I, for one, am willing for some realpolitik to enter the calculation, while I wouldn't for an executive. The balance of power in the senate will be determined by party-line vote, and I would submit that core conservative values will be better served with the Republicans in charge, even if a particular senator from California is more liberal than I'd prefer.

Just a thought, and not an endorsment of Marin, 'cause I don't know her, but something to consider.
