SNN Ch. 6 combined our rally with that of the one held by the Vietnam vets organization down in Punta Gorda, which itself must have had 200 people there, as well as police, a JROTC color guard, speakers, etc.!
Richard's smiling face made it on the set, as did that attactive young lady with the two kids. And a part of my interview was also used -- my spiel was something along the lines of "It's essential that our people overseas know that they have the full support of the people back home that they left behind, and that's us. They're over there suffering every day, putting their lives on the line every day, to keep us safe, and keep us free. There is no more noble cause." They had a few other folks speaking as well, including the young daughter of a man who's currently overseas, and two Vietnam vets, one of which was a POW who did very well.
All in all -- KICKASS! We all did good. Oh, and the SHT also had an article on these two rallies in yesterday's paper on page B1, and a picture of one of our Venice ladies on page B3.
