I love these personal profiles;
almost brings tears, seeing these awesome warriors,
its humbling.

The fortitude required to fly FAC in a Cessna Mixmaster,
way low & slow, no armor, unarmed, i don't see how these guys can even walk, with huevos like that.

Although unarmed, the FAC planes had the best defense any plane could. After a couple were shot down, the Viet Cong soon learned that if they shot one down, the next airstrike was going to be directed at the source of the gunfire, meaning on them. A great incentive for the bad guys not to shoot them.
