I couldn't disagree more.
Fox IS fair and balanced.
Okay, you win. You disagree more than I do.
I think the key is that Fox can tell the difference between news and opinion, at least most of the time which is a lot more than the others seem to be able to do.
The 'panel' discussions on Fox are not really 'fair and balanced' because they are loaded with conservatives and have conservative moderators, but at least they allow liberals some air time - which again is more than the others seem to be able to do for conservatives.
But their news reporting truly is fair and balanced - which is more than . . . well, you know the rest.

I agree, Jay doesn't seem to be a doctrinaire Democrat. Or, at least, he didn't seem to be, up to the last times I watched him which was during the hilarity of the Lewinsky scandal.

Leno is a comedian, and he tells jokes about people on both sides of the spectrum. I remember one he told early in the 1992 campaign:
They say Ted Kennedy's got the nomination in his pocket."
Now if he can only find his pants....

I suspect that he is a liberal Boston DemocRAT, who spends a lot of his time wondering why.If he's a lefty, he's not a very good one. He owns way too many gas guzzlers.

Actually during the last election when the republicans won the majority, A guest asked him (and I can not remember the guest's name) if he was a democrat or republican and he said that while his wife was a registered democrat he was more indepentant and voted how he felt on the issues.

Ive never been a fan of his politics but last nights commentary was on an add someone had sent him. A political flyer had been created and distributed supporting the candidate Richard White. The way the "headline" on the flyer read was something like, "On election day, vote for Rich White Republican," which is funny in the same way that all of his misworded headline gags are.

"The only reason it looks conservative is because conservative arguments are so superior to the liberal ones." "Also, Fox's fair and balanced looks conservative to some because they benchmark it against the insufferably liberal CNN, CBS, and ABC."
We seem to be falling into the trap of the left by letting them define conservatism. If doing your best to report factual news without bias is conservative, what does that say about liberal journalism?

Okay, you win. You disagree more than I do. I like that comeback line. I'll have to remember it.

He laughs pretty hard at Dennis Miller. Note that you don't see Miller on Letterman.
To: GulliverSwift
His wife Mavis is a flaming liberal, although she seemed a little less liberal in the interviews she did right after 9/11...

I like Jay more than Letterman, anyway.
One of the things I like about him, is I dont know what his politics are, nor would I care, unless he makes it an issue.
He is a talk show host.Smart enough to make jokes about everyone, so what does it really matter?
As a popular entertainer, I would think most of us would be applauding his ability to stay away from openly partisan politics and just doing what he is making large amounts of money for doing, hosting his talk show.

True FOX seems to be conservative
but they still let liberals have their say. To me that is fair and balanced.
ABCCBSNBCCNNNPR on the other hand are TOTALLY liberal, give NO time to conservative viewpoint, actuall BASH conservatives, and then claim to be unbiased.

The kind of liberal CNN likes are the Bob Novak kind, a senile old man who can barely talk over even the weakest of liberals.
