I saw this woman on MSNBC. She looked like she was gonna attack the Marines. (One Marine looked at her in disgust while the others were doing their best to ignore her looney-tunes behavior.)

These same Marines were welcomed by the Palestine Hotel manager (and a few nervous press-types) who were afraid of looters or worse since their Iraqi guards & minders had taken off. The US Marines had been sent there by a Major to protect the journalists and hotel residents.

A couple of female reporters were trying to calm the looney human shield down. She wasn't having any of it. The nutcase then turned on one of the reporters and said "They want you dead. They've already killed you..." or something like that. It was nutty. Haven't seen it re-aired. It should be.

Oh, and the DU guys are claiming that ALL of those Iraqis celebrating were CIA plants! I kid you not.

...this narrow minded guy is a little bit too busy for philosophy. later.

I did not say you were narrow minded. I know better. I've read your posts.

I simply didn't want you to close the door on another possibility just because because it did not fit in with what you perceive to be the truth of the matter.

Personally, I believe this woman is a suitable case for treatment and has gone round the bend. No one here seems to be interested in rational discourse and you are too busy. I'll respect that and drop it. I'm out.

I saw that live. CBS spun it as ANTI-AMERICAN PROTESTING. Charlie Gibson read it as the guys carrying the sign were human shields, and were telling the Americans to go home. Nobody corrected it, of course.

She better get her socialist butt out of Iraq. The locals think the human shields as Saddam supporters. Oli North said the locals are stringing up those supporters from the lamp posts. Al-Jazeera got a nice butt kicking out of town as well.

The irony is, that it would be US troops who would save her after the Iraqi mob attacks...

What if she's not a raving lunatic and actually has reasonable information that there are many Iraqis that don't see this as liberation?

What's the mystery? Are we stupid or just playing stupid in the Internet? Or are we just being coy presenting some pseudo-puzzle in multiple posts? Of course there are a lot of Iraqis that don't see this as a liberation. Saddam didn't do it all by himself with the help of his two sons. Every tyranny has its suck-up class, just like the Xlintons did! A thirty year tyranny must have developed quite a sizeable following of sycophants, opportunists and cynics. The wanker just admitted her associations! Sheesh!

Only raving lunatics behave like that, by the way.

People of passion behave that way. People that think they know the truth and are being ignored behave that way too.

Put yourself in that position for a moment...
You know something. You've seen it. You have the truth. You want to share it with everyone because it will open their eyes and save their lives...but no one is listening. You begin to think that everyone is a "pod" person. ("Invasion of the Bodysnatchers")

That was the reason for my reference to "Soylent Green". Think of how you, if you were a person of passion, would behave under those circumstances.

Wow, more eyewitnesses. Sounds like this young lady really made the media rounds today! Can you imagine being a Marine and have that in your face after a three week trek of hell, losing your buddies?

If she appeared that much, there is bound to be a photo and a dossier we can put up here. If she is British, she is a good candidate to be reported to Scotland Yard or MI-5 for apprehension and treason charges under Crown law.

Glad I was not one of the armed Marines there today having to put up with that.

I think I saw a millisecond of that on MSNBC. They were talking about some long-haired human shield, a guy, that was led away, probably to safety, but they showed a split-second piece of some woman yelling angrily at a Marine. He smiled at her, then looked away . . . paying her as much attention as a Marine would pay a gnat.

I think he was just looking for an interesting debate.. if everyone is on the same side then there is no debate. A person good at debate can argue either side equally no matter which side he/she agrees with. I would be interesting in seeing that debate.. just need some flame-retardant for all the participants.

For example, all of the Bath party...

The Bath Party meets in my hot tub every Tuesday night at 9:00 after the kiddies are in bed.

The Ba'ath Party is another story.     =;^)

I'm sure there are a lot of Iraqis who didn't consider this a liberation: Saddam, Uday, Qusay, Baghdad Bob and the Combover, and the several thousand members of the Ba'athist Party who've had quite a frisky heyday keeping oil proceeds, selling UN donations on the blackmarket, and torturing anyone who gets in the way. And I understand folks like this were very civil to useful idiots from the west who wanted to come and make sure these folks kept their gold-plated bidets.

Nevertheless, I think they were outvoted.

I'll help with your 'serious' question. I assumed you were being sarcastic obviously.

Why don't YOU think the NON Baath Iraqis need liberating?

She looked to be a loud-mouthed, close-minded, know-it-all. You see her type in every anti protest. She is legion, and she is nothing but noise.

...thanks for the correction!

You're welcome. And, no, you can't get an invite to my Bath Party just by being nice to me.

Now, where's my froggie? Froggie? Ribbet...ribbet.
