Perhaps most telling about the tale is the Russian's smile on the Red Crescent ambulance, when caught offguard. Kinda like a stainmaker we know who performed at Ron Brown's funeral.

A quick mention on Fox News last night said that yes, this is a pre-Saddam flag.

Thanks, once again, for these dramatic picture collections! The drama continues.
The flag was reported to be from NYC and the American hero putting it on the Statue is reported to have been in the Pentagon when it was attacked by Saddam's friends the AlQuaida led terrorists.
The Iraqi soldiers being captured cannot believe the Americand are not shooting them. That is what they were told would happen if they are captured.
Much fighting (and many prayers) continue - but all praise be to GOD for His protection and delivering grace - given to the Iraqi people - by way of the American people and our President, George W Bush - from our HEROES - our MILITARY!!!

Does anyone know anything about this flag? Is it pre-Saddam? Its missing the writing between the stars.I heard that Saddam changed the flag after the 91 gulf war to enhance his "Islamic" ties. Of course he said they won that war, it seems Iraqis don't like the Saddam flag.

I am looking for a picture I believe of saddam at the K2 airfield in northern Iraq. When the US landed on it, they all started signing it, and someone wrote "Mean People Suck"
anyone?

That IS a great pic ! I'm glad you found it.
I didn't find your pic on yesterday's War pic thread, nor here this morning. That's why I posted my note here today.
Amazing too. You found it and posted it on the Finest thread THREE minutes prior to my post here earlier. I'm playin' Ketchup today. . .can you tell? LOL!
