It would be better to snatch them quietly by dark of night if possible. Their disappearance would speak volumes to the other potential terrorists.

Looks like they need a place to stay after listing their last residence for sale!

Perhaps, but if they are stupid enough to be on the beach a seaborne raid might enable a mass arrest and not actually ruffle any Syrian feathers. They get the money, we get the people.

We can then fight over the real issues between USA and Syria.

The way to deal wit Syria is to say "Ariel! Damascus!"

DEBKA reported this over a week ago. I loathe to admit it, but DEBKA scooped the world on this one.

Yes doug, His henchmen must be tried for their war crimes, and they will be.

Shades of Afghanistan.

So anyone want to start a pool about when Bush will deliver the "Fork them over," speech?

As Jackie Gleason would say (Smokey and the Bandit) "We are in Hot pursuit!"....

After we drop a MOAB on Damascus, "Now that's an attention getter."

"The US Air Force is moving several 21,000-pound MOAB bombs, the largest US conventional bomb, to the Gulf region, a US defense official said. It was not clear what the air force intends to do with the bombs, which are most effective against troops or tanks in open areas. "What we were told today is that they are on the way," said the defense official, who asked not to be identified. He said several were being shipped to the Gulf region." Sooooo, maybe a little hotter pursuit than originally thought!!!!!

Over the past year there have been reports that Saddam moved many of his palace treasures and weapons out of Iraq into Syria and other places. I believe that in the first Gulf War some of them went to Sudan, and Saddam's air force was flown to fields in Iran.

A lot of this stuff cross the borders months ago.

Now the question is, do we want to do a hot pursuit, or a deliberate pursuit. Any way you slice it, Syria and Iran are next on the list. Although I simply can't imagine that they would be stupid enough not to surrender Saddam's henchmen if Bush asks, after seeing what happened to the Taliban under similar circumstances.
