Weren't the protestors on the docks trying to stop military supplies (mostly food, incl FOOD AID?) being shipped to Iraq? I didn't see the story, but if they became violent, or refused to disperse, what's wrong with using rubber bullets? What's wrong with enjoying domestic ba'athists receiving just desserts, assuming (for the moments) that it was incidental to a proportionate use of force?

It's the kind of thing the left would do.. Remember Rush's hearing loss? Remember how they were just overjoyed about the fact that a prominent someone on the right had lost their ability to hear?

That gal was breaking the law, in a serious way, trying to disrupt supplies for the war effort, and while it is simple to say she should she should be in jail, the law had to catch her first, and surely you know of the tactics those scum utilize in an effort to escape prosecution. Frankly, she is lucky that she got hit with a rubber bullet; worst things can happen to a person in one of those planned riots.

Further, she could have avoided getting her picture taken, but I bet she insited upon a photo record, in an attempt to scream "police brutality".

You can feel it is ridiculous all you wish. I feel differently. But, your final paragraph makes several assumptions that are well off track, namely, what makes me happy, and whether or not I am "parading the picture around like a trophy". I expressed no opinion on either this thread or any other about what happened to that gal, and, this is the first time I have used that picture. Now, I have had occassions when my face looked a hell of a lot worse than that gal's did. Would it make you feel better if I had used one of the pcitures of what I looked like after getting my face broken into dust? See, I too know what a real slapping is all about, and the author of the letter is an insult to any one who has gotten slapped!

So, I repeat myself:

1) That namby pamby wanker that wrote the letter doesn't know what getting slapped is all about.

2) Don't do the crime if you can't do the time!
