Here's my e-mail. I ranted a bit too long I'm afraid.

Dear Mr. Scannel,
Last year after my 5 year old girl asked me if she could watch The Kid's Choice awards, I let her. This year I will not.

This year I have taught my daughter about the war in Iraq. I've shared with her stories of our soldier's bravery, and showed her pictures of Iraqi's dancing in the streets when our troops liberated them from a butcher's regime.

Why would I let her watch the Kid's Choice awards when Nickelodeon has decided that they will teach my child that war is not the answer-- even when a madman is creating a genocide of his own people??

I am talking about this:
"Peace is good. War is bad," O'Donnell said. "That's the message I'd like every child to learn." Nickelodeon said a "subtle" message would be acceptable, if O'Donnell decides to deliver it.

Sometimes there cannot be peace with out war. You are trying to teach my child that her parents are wrong in their opinion about the war, and that The United States, our brave troops, and our President is wrong going into this liberation.

I will start encouraging my children to watch something else besides Nickelodeon if you allow this POLITICAL messege to be aired to innocent children who only tune in to have a good time. I'm disapointed in Nickelodeon.

I don't think you ranted too long. You got the message across loud and clear.
