Race and ethnicity is optional now. I am not sure if it the military still REQUIRES you to indicate anything. When I had joined the military, my recruiter asked me what my 'race and ethnicity' was. I just put down 'other'. Really it's none of anyone's business and should have no bearing on your ability to perform.

What really gets me about this kind of garbage is these people gave everything they could give....their lives... to free the people of Iraq and to further the war on terror. The families of the fallen soldiers both swell with pride at what has been accomplished and collapse in dispair at their loss.
