With the possible exception of social progress,
which is an offshoot of individualism, free markets,
and technolgy, rather than a cogenerator, I think
Russia unknowingly describes it pretty well.
Old Europe sees social progress as ends being used
to dictate the means. Their overregulation, extreme
taxation, and moribund economies show the result.
Odd man out here is Canada, whose French cancer
pulls them into Old Europe. The Dominion finds
herself schizoid and stressed. Her future lies in
dismemberment.

I agree. I was always against Quebec separatism. I know better now. The problem is they won't leave! All the want is to threaten.
