All they need is DNA. We simply don't know what they have. It sure would be nice to find something to tie him in but just the fact that he was near there and she was supposed to be at home puts him in the wrong place at the right time.

Your point about taking a 14 foot boat into big water is well made - however, we take 14 foot sailing boats into big water all the time - depends on the weather and conditions.
14' Sailboat? Is it a laser or a sunfish? Both good boats.. I am a huge fan of the Sunfish myself.
And, my thought's on the matter really were more about the mechanics involved with getting a limp, pregnant woman wrapped in concrete weight's overboard.
It would be really difficult in a boat with a narrow beam (like Petersons Sears brand fishing boat) because the weight hanging off one side would capsize you instantly.
I am figruing the whole bundle would be 200 lbs and you would almost have to be seated in the center of the boat and throw a load like that clear to avoid capsizing.
Unlike your 14' sailboat, if he flipped I think it would be end game. As you have the stabilizer fin to leverage yourself on and right the boat after a capsize, Peterson would have no such thing in his boat, and would probably be screwed until he managed to get help.
I don't think he would involve a second person in something of this nature either.
But, that's JMO..

We had a similar case here. Prominent chiropracter was having an affair and murdered his wife. He cut her up like this body and threw her in the river. The body surfaced and was spotted some time later. He was convicted and is still serving time in prison. They had a young son and it must have been horrible for him.

Yes, mys..it's horrifying. We had such great news the last few days, and now this. It's just the most horrible end, if this is the end. Prayers of comfort and peace for the Rochas.

I have a granddaughter and my daughter is expecting again. I cannot imagine the horror her parents have gone through. I think I remember that they talked every day and you know they were talking about the baby soon to be born. Excitement turned to tragedy, losing a daughter and a grandson.

I hate to think this but what if SP dismemberd Laci and weighted her down with his bucket weights...or her poor body could have sepparated from the turbulance. Yes,they may be finding things for a while.

I saw the KCRA report and SP's attorney. He didn't say scott was 'disturbed and heartbroken'. He said that scott was "concerned and broken up"...big difference as far as i'm concerned. i'll BET he's concerned--probably wondered how he screwed up so the bodies washed ashore. God, I hope they nail him.

According to that Chronology A decomposing body in water 2weeks and beyond the body is an urecognizable mass, returning to skeleton form --later the skeleton is also consumed... Geez, If its Laci she's been there for what 5 months. I wouldn't think that there would be much of a skeleton left either.. Note the water temp. in the Chronology 65-75 degrees F...much colder in S.F bay...I would think in the lower 50's, anyone know for sure? Anyway, much slower decomp at lower temps. Bodies from the 1800's have come up from the bottom of Lake Tahoe mostly intact! (Due to pressure and cold).

I'm wondering if there are anchors attached to the limbs missingThat makes sense. How horrible. It is very strange that the baby and mother were found within days of each other. Perhaps, like you suggest, the body broke away from it's underwater anchor, and the baby (how dark and ugly this is) broke free from it's mother as well.
Oh my. How sad for Laci Peterson's family.
