Do you remember how it came out during the Clinton administration how military psyops people were doing grunt work for CNN (while paid by the government, not CNN)? That was the Clinton administration's contribution to CNN's bottom line.
To: Mia T; TLBSHOW
Mia, I'll have to check that tomorrow.
I'm dialing in, and my browser tells me it's a 14 minute download. Some of us in flyover country have to deal with the hand we're dealt.
I look forward to seeing it and I thank you very much for your efforts.
CNN has blood on its hands!

I distinctly remember that incident.
What was it? About 3 or 4 years ago?
To: Howlin; BartMan1
Someone explain the difference to me between Baghdad Bob's lies and Mike McCurry's, and CNN's complicity in airing those lies unchallenged.
Someone explain to me the difference between CNN's lies about Iraq and their lies about Elian Gonzalez, Waco, Ruby Ridge, OKC, Vince Foster, Castro, Osama bin Laden, Lewinsky
I really want to know.

Did you get backhoe's mega list of CNN stories today? No, but thanks for alerting me to them. I don't have as much time as I'd like to delve in.
I see what I can, kind of like from a sheeple point of view lately.
This CNN story stands out like a canker sore.
To: Fred Mertz
Look up the thread; I linked it. He has it all nice and tidy for us.

That Jordan should spill this to NYTimes is very curious. Knowing what they are, why do this? Do you think the military is going to find documents about CNN in all their information gathering in Iraq agencies?
__________________________________________________________
My opinion:
PRE-EMPTION. Eason Jordan was not the only one who knew this. CNN Baghdad bureau staffers knew it, including the Iraqi staffers who were kidnapped and tortured. He needed to put the story out before them, WITH HIS PROTECTIVE SPIN!! This was DAMAGE CONTROL, not a soul-cleansing confession.

It is important not to "burn" your informants, but I'd bet many of those CNN supposedly was protecting would have been WILLING to sacrifice their lives to have their truth told. And how it must have grieved these "protected" people to discover that they'd told the truth and STILL had to watch many more of their country's citizens murdered needlessly. Were they protected because they begged to be protected? Or were they protected against their will, wanting the truth to get out?
Omitting the truth is deception. CNN's credibility just went below the zero they already had in my estimation.
