SEAN PENN'S CAR RECOVERED - GUNS STILL MISSING April 14, 2003 Provided by: Star Online SEAN PENN
As we previously reported, actor Sean Penn's car, with two guns inside, was stolen from the street as he had lunch near the University of California campus at Berkeley last week.
According to police, the car has been recovered, but the guns were not.
Lt. Arnold Threets of the Richmond police department stated that the car was found about nine miles from where it was stolen.
Police said that the car, a black 1987 Buick Grand National, contained a loaded 9mm Glock and an unloaded Smith and Wesson .38 revolver and that Penn had a concealed weapons permit for the guns.

Now I'm pissed. This anti-american slug has more rights than any average American patriot.

Try getting a permit to carry concealed in CA after you've spent over a month in jail for assault and been charged and convicted of battery multiple times.
Laws are for the little people.

Me too...but on the bright side, he must be having some financial problems...he's driving a 16 year old Buick.

It's all part of his personal journey to find the truth about the Iraqi situation.

It's a Buick Grand National. Actually a very collectible and fairly high-performance car.
Certainly not your average 16-year-old Buick.

CA is a "may issue" state. At his discretion, the sheriff may issue a carry permit to an applicant.
Do a Search using "Penn" and you'll find all sorts of details and comments on this story.

He could at least drive a real collectable car. Maybe an 83 Hurst/Olds. Most GN's that I see (excluding car shows) are usually in pretty bad shape.

I thought that was kind of strange too. Until I checked it out a little further.

If he is a convicted felon, how did he get a permit to carry. I have never been convicted of anything and I am sure I could not get a permit.

Bill's not a big second amendment advocate. He's a "reasonable restrictions" type of guy.

It was just sold (I was just surfing to see what they look like). Freepers don't miss a thing. `:^) I didn't notice the plate until you said something. I don't think they are bad looking cars though.

Still think he's a left wing nutjob - but I'll give him credit for choice of car. From the factory those rides were doing 13 E.T.'s in the quarter mile. I'm stuck in the 80's, so this car stands out in my mind.
