this story is likely totally true. alot of those people going to Syria were likely "OKed" by us as part of the deal. we shouldn't bury our heads in the sand about these types of activities. i have no problem with it, I just wonder how far up the chain of command this goes. where is tariq aziz? why is it easier to find abu abass, as opposed to aziz and baghdad bob?

Whatever the facts are, among the least likely to know is this Russian creature that is probably going to be out of a job soon. Being a Saddam symp is probably not going to be the right calling card for whatever authority emerges in Iraq.

The Republican Guard generals knew they could not win, but they could not surrender!
They lost! How hard is that to understand.
Russia is not going to say we won fairly. They want it to look like we cheated so that all the technical assistance and aid that they gave/sold the Iraqi's did not work. this way they save face.
