If you are like me and believe that the freedom of the press
 carries with it an obligation to be accurate, fair, balanced, and honest...

I don't believe that at all.  Freedom of the press, I believe, means
nothing more than that government cannot suppress it.  The
marketplace rewards and punishes the press based on how well
they feel it services their need to be informed.  The only
obligation the press has is the same as any other business.
To make enough money by servicing their market to meet
the payroll and keep shareholders happy.

The inclusion of the very word "fair" as an obligation introduces
socialism into the works.  Free trade vs fair trade is another venue
wherein the same sloppy anticapitialism pokes its head into the tent.

I have spoken With bert a couple of times and like any reasonable reporter I find that ANY bias is irrelevant.
