"Slick Willie also suffers from Legacy Envy."

And character envy.
And penis envy.
And moral character.
And truth envy.
And 'nads envy.
And ...

I'd like to see him in the Senate, Zell is retiring.
Boy that would sure shake up the place, could he win in Georgia?

If he could ans/or if he wanted it, I'm sure people more important than me would be talking about it.

Now, well past 70, Rosalynn and I have learned to accommodate each other’s desires more accurately and generously, and have never had a more complete and enjoyable relationship.

I think I am going to barf!

, Carter -- unlike Clinton -- was a patriot. And I think he was honest.

Patriotic ex-presidents don't go to foreign capitals to bash their predesessors, especially from the other party, or to a Nobel committee who rewards him for the hit job. As I recall they had to "chisel off the name" of the biggest donor to the Carter Library after he was indicted in the BCCI scandals. Also he always seems to love those dictators. I'm thinking of Fidel, Kim Jong Il, Aristede, I'm sure I'm leaving out someone, oh yea Chavez. I am also old enough to remember what a DISASTER he was as president, remember "malaise"?

So simple and so true. I miss Newt.

Me too! Too bad that the leftist portion of the media (most of it) won't let Newt on to go toe-to-toe with those on the left. He'd run circles around slick or any of slick's minions!

Okay.....okay.....you forced me to do this:

I'm colorblind, but the sinister look on clinton's face makes it so obvious that he exudes the color of envy.

Carter is suffering from Nixon envy. You could see it in his eyes at Nixon's funeral. He was dumbfounded that Nixon could be put to rest with meaningful accolades of accomplishment. If Jimmy keeled over right now, what meaningful accolades would he merit? I'm not even sure if commanding a ballistic missle submarine, a noteworthy accomplishment for those who reach that position, is an honorable accomplishment for Jimmy. My guess is that if he would have ever been ordered to push the buttons on those missles while his nation was under attack, he wouldn't have done it.

Yes, but Bill ripped her up good. She tried to say she didn't know the makeup of the audience - and she clearly did - which only reinforces what I've been saying.

The audience was primarily "international" people. x42 is trolling for the SecGenl of the UN. He cannot get votes for that position if he is in favor of the USA. Sooooo ... x42 has been in the process for almost a year of going to country after country and international organizations to tell the whole world what's wrong with the USA, it's president, and how much he hates us.

He started to really go downhill at the beginning of his second term. He's gone from this (1992/1993):

To this (July 1996):

To this (December 1998):

To this (January 2000):

To this (recent, date unknown):

I remember reading something about Rosalynn being
"linked" to the British ambassador during the time
when Carter was in office or maybe just after he left office?

If Newt still resides in Georgia, that should be a peach of a contest. Not sure who the Democrats will run, but the Senate Republicans clearly need a kick in the ass from one of their own since Zell has been more loyal than Grassley, Snowe and Chaffee, just to name a few.

There's no doubt that the most consequential House Speaker of the last thirty years would be just the guy to do it.

Carter never was a sub skipper. I believe he was a chief engineer or first officer, but I KNOW he never had his own boat. You are right in that he served honorably. His Presidency and his convictions are something else again.

Tonight, I made the stupid mistake of agreeing to have a guy come to the house to test our water. I was already mad with myself because I couldn't say no, and I knew he was going to try to SELL me something, even though I asked them point blank and got an evasive answer.

Anyway, things came to a head very quickly, as he pulled a newspaper article out of his briefcase -- and guess what it was: an article about Clinton signing an EX lowering the arsenic levels in water.

Things got really ugly then.
