Let's not forget Michael Moore and The Dixie Sh*ts either! Or Mike Farrell. Haven't seen him mentioned yet.

My nomination: Baghdad Bob.

Second that! Old BB is a natural winner!

Ok, I nominate Heather Nauert who disgraced Fox News and herself by doing her "man on the street" interviews in what appeared to be her Amman hotel bar. She interviewed a street lizard sitting on a bar stool with bottles clearly in view behind the bar.

I guess she gets the campaign ribbon for being in theater, but apparently didn't have the right stuff to really go out on the streets of an arab city.

Ritter qualifies on sheer stupidity, but IMHO the winners should be amusing, good targets for humorous ridicule.

Ritter is just pathetic...not even fun to ridicule.

I propose Foot in Mouth and .44 Mag in the Foot as possible categories. Dixie Chicks would be a good candidate for either.

Too bad he won't be there to accept it in person, having shuffled off this mortal coil.

I don't know if he's dead yet...

The Pope.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A Vatican envoy who met with President Bush Wednesday said he "clearly and forcefully" conveyed a message from Pope John Paul II that a war against Iraq would be a "disaster."

this thread has received over 60 responses and no one has mentioned Eason Jordan and CNN.

But there are so many choices! For that matter I nominate RW Apple and Peter Jennings. Oh...and what's his name Brown on CNN...and...and...and..........

Charles Rangel: "our military are bombers of women and children."

I think you're mistakenly nominating the Joseph Goebbels/Pravda award nominee...

"'I have absolutely no regret about my vote (against) this war. The same questions remain. The cost in human lives, the cost to our budget, probably 100 billion. We could have probably brought down that statue for a lot less." - Nancy Pelosi

Foot in Mouth winner for sure.

- My mother, the flaming liberal dem, from whom I haven't heard a word in weeks.

By the way, come to think of it, I wonder what my uber-liberal grandparents and aunt think of all this?

The Pope made his case from a moral stance. I disagreed with him, but I'm not putting His Holiness in the same category as Garofalo. JPII is not in the running.

"This invasion of Iraq, if it goes off, will join the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, Desert One, Beirut, and Somalia in the history of military catastrophe. What will set it apart, distinguishing it for all time, is the immense--and transparent--political stupidity."

--Chris Matthews, San Francisco Chronicle, August 25, 2002

Now I am going to have to third the nomination. I knew he was a Clymer but this is too much.

David Hackworth

David Hackworth?!? I'd think he'd be behind us all the way! Sure you didn't mean some retired Clintonista general instead?
