The chances of many American companies SURVIVING a fall in Chinese imports is just as serious. We are now (very unfortunately) too reliant on the Chinese manufacturing sector to NOT have severe ripple effects through our own economy as a result. This is bad news for the world's economic health...

If need be, we can whip up a manufacturing facility in no time. America has the resources and facilities to handle it.

We still have the ability to jump start most manufacturing here fairly quickly but the microchips, an essential part of our civilization, are all imported now.
